Just finished some reading here on a ‘lazy-ish’ Sunday morning. Am currently on a couple of books, one of which is by the great Carl Jung (Aspects of the Masculine).
I’m still flying high after a great session with Dr John Demartini on Friday. I brought John in to speak with a crew of highly dedicated, highly ambitious entrepreneurs in my Elite Program.
This crew is truly inspirational. I often think they think I give them inspiration via sharing amazing leaders and their world-class information with them. they’re the ones who give me inspiration. Their drive and desire to grow spreads far and wide. Together we are unstoppable.
Which is why I was inspired to share the insights, information and wisdom of someone who has changed my life.
Back in 2016, I was introduced to John (via a chapter in his book – the Breakthrough Experience). From there, I guess you could say things took off pretty fast.
I devoured the book, bought his entire digital library of products and listened 2-3 hours a day for the next 8 months. I then went to experience both a Breakthrough Experience for myself as well as having a private consult. All of which have easily paid themselves back three times over (actually – much more).
Over the next 12 months I would also attend a Master Planning for Life event (literally 3 days of just asking quality questions while sitting in a room with 90 or so others), the Demartini Method training course (to enable me to help my clients further) and also had a couple of opportunities to sit down with John over breakfast and learn directly from him. John also wrote a foreword for my book – “Why Wait To Be Great?”
But why do I tell you all of this? No, not because I think it sounds impressive (knowledge is only power if you put power behind it (action)) but because what John (and others) have given me, is a gift for life.
Whatever goes into the three pound mass between my two ears, is there for life. It forms part of my greatest asset: my mind.
Which is why I value the gift of giving knowledge and wisdom at the top of my values hiearchy. I am obsessed with learning. An unquenchable thirst for knowledge that (so far) knows no bounds.
As a result, I’ve been fortunate enough to share that with a select group of hungry learners who too have a burning desire to continually ask why.
When I first got started in business two years ago, I flounded for the first six months. I didn’t know what I was going to do, or what service I wanted to bring to the world. Then, I started asking some quality questions.
I outline these below for you (paraphrased through a series of questions I found inside John’s work):
1. What would I love to do and be inspired to do every single day?
2. How can I get paid for that very thing?
3. What high priority actions will I need to take every single day?
4. What will get in the way?
5. How can I minimise the risks of that from the start?
6. How can I effectively communicate this with others so they see the value?
If you were to answer just these six questions, over and over until you felt the surge of inspired energy as a result of ‘finding’ your thing, you will begin to feel the devine power of the mind.
John Milton once wrote: “The mind is it’s own place and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, and a Hell of Heaven”.
Absolute truth, the mind can either be your greatest asset, or your biggest liability depending on how you use it.
- Start by surrounding yourself with high quality, inspired individuals.
- Continually feed the garden of your mind with inspiring material.
- Work everyday at the things that give you energy (or contribute to your mission long term)
- Hold the vision of your dream in your mind until it comes to fruition.
I am continually inspired to grow my mind, and also, help others achieve the same in the process. I know (with certainty) that when tapped into my mission (connecting the world’s hungriest learners with the world’s best information), the outside world will continually shift around me to help me fulfil that.
What could be possible for you when you worked to the same degree? If you found that thing that you know makes you want to get up and dominate each morning?
Once we find it (which I can help you with here), we are ON.
Time to grow.
Bye for now.
